Cardiac Rehabilitation for Tobacco Treatment Specialists
ENGAGE‑CR is a free, 90‑minute, asynchronous online course designed for Tobacco Treatment Specialists that focuses on how cardiac rehabilitation supports recovery after a cardiac event and reinforces tobacco cessation efforts. It explains the impact of heart disease and smoking, and shows how combining tobacco treatment with cardiac rehab can improve long‑term heart health and reduce hospital readmissions. Participants receive a certificate of completion, and current NAQC members who successfully complete the program may claim 1.5 continuing education contact hours approved by the Council for Tobacco Treatment Training Programs, with course content delivered by three guided avatars developed by the NAQC team.
